Back in my skinny jeans

Another good thing about me doing the 30 for 30?  It gave me that much more time to work on my fitness without having to lament about how my skinny jeans did not yet fit post - Peanut.  Well, I put them on after the challenge and...

Blazer - Rachel Roy, Scarf - Rachel Roy, Tee Shirt - GAP,
Jeans - Express, Boots - Wanted, Bangles - gifted Coach

They fit!!!!  This is a very exciting moment. :)  I have been very realistic about losing the baby weight and figured nine months on, nine months off, so this was a very happy surprise!  Now I just have to make sure I stay in them - Christmas cookies can be very tempting!! ;)

Can you tie it in a bow?

Yes I can!

Ah, another day, another scarf.  It's funny, since Peanut was born I'm pretty sure my scarf collection has doubled tripled!  Hey, he can pull on them all he wants and the worst that happens is that I have to throw it in the wash.
Blazer & pants- GAP, Shirt - J Crew, Scarf - Rachel Roy, Shoes - Not Rated

I'm doing Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge next week and I'm pretty sure everything I am wearing here will be included!  In fact, I could probably wear this outfit everyday just switching out the scarf and be happy, but then you would all be bored and my husband would stage an intervention, so I promise to mix it up. :)

How about you?  Will you be participating?

Back to mommyland

While my hubby will be around this weekend to take some more pics outside, for today, it's back to Peanut's room.
Blazer - Rachel Roy, Vest - Brooks Brothers, Tee - LOFT, Jeans - GAP,
Shoes - Shoedazzle, Scarf - Modcloth

But really, isn't that the reality of motherhood?  You spend most of your time in the nursery.
And to be honest, there is nowhere in the world I would rather be.  Notice how Peanut's bathrobe made it in the pic.  Isn't it cute?  It's a ducky robe! :)  As you can see, I'm looking down on my son here - he had just chucked Sophie the Giraffe across the bed - this kid has quite an arm!!
All bundled up and ready to go.  Where to, you ask?  To Target baby!  Then it's back home for some light housework, laundry and then Tia and my inlaws are coming for dinner!
What can I say?  I live a glamorous life. :)
But you know what?  I wouldn't trade it for anything!
This closeup's for you, Style Underdog! :)

Hangin' with the boys

Perhaps it's the fact that I live with 2 boys, but I have developed a love for menswear inspired pieces.  This blazer definitely tops the list.  It's made of a jersey fabric so it's super comfortable!
Then, of course, there's the "boy fit" pant.  I think it's my new favorite shape!  It's more fitted at the ankle, so it showcases the shoe, but it's looser on top.  This, again, adds to the comfort factor!
And I love a good pocket. :)
But, of course, with this much comfort, I need to add a fabulous wedge - so glad the weather is still open toe worthy!
Add some stick straight hair, hot pink lipstick and what are becoming my favorite sunnies, and I'm ready to go!
Life is good when my hubby is around to take my pics! :)

Playing with color

Blazer - Rachel Roy, Tank - LOFT, Jeans - GAP

First of all, I want to apologize for the lack of makeup lately. There is truly no excuse for this. All I can say is that I will try harder in the future in between diaper changes. Scouts honor.
Today Grandma came over and we took Peanut to Baby GAP to use some of the gift cards I have been holding onto. When Peanut was born, everyone bought him clothes in all different sizes - for springtime. So I have a lot of short sleeved clothes that just won't do with fall right around the corner. Solution? We bought some thin long sleeved onsies to wear underneath! It's never too early to learn the power of layering my friends. Speaking of layers, I decided to layer different colors in my outfit today (like my tie in there?). I am really digging the mix of teal and navy with the pop of rose in the cuff. It's the same color and pattern as this dress which looks like leopard print from afar but up close it's actually a pattern of hearts! Well. it's off to make dinner for me...ah, what a glamorous life I lead... :)
