And now back to our regularly scheduled programming

First of all, thank you guys SOO much for the well wishes!!  My husband and I are feeling better and Peanut is almost there.  He's so cute - even though he's sick he's still in the best of spirits!  It was a long week with little sleep and lots of coddling (for both my son and husband :) ) but I did manage to get some work done on my Swing dress!!  My muslin is almost done although I still need to do a bit of adjusting.

All the pieces are cut out and up on the couch away from Peanut's grasp

The hardest part was the shoulder yoke but Casey posted
a great tutorial so I finally figured it out!

The bust is too big and I have to take the hem up
A LOT but so far so good...

All I have to do now is add the sleeves and make my adjustments
and then I can start cutting my fabric!

  3. So far so good. I bought a sewing machine last Christmas that I have yet to use. You've inspired me to try something this weekend.

  7. Can't wait to see the finished product! Yeah, I should start with a muslin first as there are always those areas that just don't fit. I'm so lazy though.....
