Peanut's first art museum

On Monday my sister in law and I took Peanut with us to the Museum of Modern Art.  There was an exhibit of Andy Warhol's motion picture work and I love his paintings so we thought it would be interesting to check out.  We had such a great time and Peanut was so good.  He loved staring at the paintings and found the Warhol exhibit fascinating.  What Warhol did was film people's faces while they did mundane tasks such as brush their teeth, eat a sandwich, or simply stare at the camera.  When they were all up at the same time it was pretty neat.  It was like we were peeking in at their everyday lives without them knowing - quite voyeuristic.

Shirt - gifted, Necklace - F21, Jeans, GAP,
Shoes - Calvin Klein, Bracelet - Pandora

After the museum we stopped by Mood Fabrics to pick up some faux fur for a vest I'm working on.  I know this seems silly, but whenever I'm there, I cross my fingers that I'll run into Tim Gunn.  I have a bit of an obsession with Project Runway and just adore him!!  No luck this time but perhaps one day... :)

  2. I think I need a closer look at those shoes - they look mighty tasty. I would DIE DIE DIE if you ran into Tim Gunn. I broke into an impromptu impersonation of him at work today and I don't mean to toot my own horn, but TOOT TOOT, it was pretty spot on.

Can't wait to see what you're doing with your faux fur!!

    Merci,

  6. Sounds very cool. I have been taking my kids to museums since they were babies. They love it. We also visit art fairs too. I find things that would interest them in paintings or sculpture and that gets the interested in art.
Can't wait to see the fur vest.
