Makeup free Monday - Look 25
Added accessories: Belt - Calvin Klein
Happy Monday everyone! Did you all have a great weekend? I did! Tis' the season for celebrations, and this weekend, I had three! On Saturday, I went to my in-laws house to celebrate Hanukkah and my early birthday (I got a sewing machine and some FABULOUS Coach bangles which I will be showing off soon!) and then Sunday my sisters and I (along with Peanut!) went to my parent's house to bake Christmas cookies. Actually, My mom and sisters baked, I chopped the chocolate and nuts and made mimosa's. :) The only thing I can bake is cupcakes - but I am an excellent taster!
What do you do to get into the holiday spirit?

Looks 22 and 23 - Makeup free Monday and...Tuesday
Since I posted my weekend yesterday, I decided to combine yesterday's makeup free pic with today's...I got nothing creative to say about today's picture. :) I do love the outfit though. I am really enjoying the shorts with tights trend. It is so much more practical than a skirt!!
So Monday - I was trying to copy this look from GAP

I figured I have similar pieces in my 30 for 30 - why not give it a shot? I did, however, add my boots instead of peep toes because a) I am not a 6 foot 100 lb model so I need something to balance the hips and b) I don't have any peep toe booties in my 30 items anyway!

Added accessory: Bracelet - Betsey Johnson
Today's outfit is not a copycat look, although it did come to me in my dreams. That's right folks, I am now dreaming about outfit combinations. My subconscious is so fashion forward!
Added accessory: necklace - F21
My son gives this necklace two thumbs up. He thought it was delicious. :)

Look 15 - halfway there!
Happy Monday everyone! So here I am halfway through the 30 for 30 challenge and I am just barely breaking a sweat! In fact, when I looked in my closet this morning, I realized that there are some pieces that I haven't even worn yet! Like this happy little number from the Tucker for Target line - I will be wearing a lot more of this in the next two weeks!
If this challenge has taught me anything, it's that I fare quite well with a smaller wardrobe. Just don't tell my husband - unless you ARE my husband reading this, in which case - disregard above statement ;)
Here's the same outfit with my fab leopard coat last seen HERE. Yes, it's a short sleeved jacket which is HIGHLY impractical for cold weather, but it's ok, it's only 64 degrees today! I will enjoy it while it lasts!
Added accessories: Hat - F21, Jacket - Rachel Rachel Roy, Belt - INC
You may have noticed that I am makeupless today. As part of my positive self image campaign, I will now be participating in Makeup free Mondays - a movement started by thebeautybean.com. Thanks to my reader Erin for pointing me to their website!
Every Monday I will be posing sans makeup. Or, as my first fabulous Gal Friday Natasha would say, I'm going naked!

Day 5 - A positive self image
Why is it that we are our own worst critics? Lately I have been hearing and reading a lot about people who feel that they are not thin/tall/short/curvy/pretty/good enough. Well, I am here to tell you that you are perfect just the way you are.
We should celebrate our uniqueness, not put ourselves down! Sure, you could lose weight or wear more makeup, even get plastic surgery, but will that change who you are as a person? Will it ultimately make you happier?
Today, look in the mirror and point out three things that you love about yourself. Everything about you makes you who you are. Someone that is special, unique and loved.
In honor of this, I have decided to post my picture today with no makeup and with my natural hair texture. This is me - Mommy, wife, sister, daughter, friend. And you know what? It took almost 30 years to say this, but I'm happy just the way I am. :)
Added accessories: Jess LC earrings, Tori Spelling necklace
Starting next Friday, I will begin a new series called "My Gal(or Guy!) Friday", where each week I will be highlighting one of my wonderful readers and all the things that make them special! :)
Time to spread the self love!
