I've become THAT mom...

bumGenius 4.0 - quickly becoming my favorite!!

So my poor little Peanut has had diaper issues since birth.  He pees through every kind at night and has terrible eczema and diaper rash from the plastic rubbing against his skin.  So last week I decided to try a cloth diaper at night to see if I could keep the leaks in.  Well. the next morning not only was he dry, but the diaper rash and eczema were seriously reduced!!!  I became hooked.  I talked to some mommy friends who use cloth and started doing research and now I am a full on cloth diaper convert!!  Not only has his rash completely cleared up, but his tush has never looked cuter - cloth diapers are a great fashion accessory!! :)

I never even considered using cloth diapers before.  I heard horror stories of my MIL boiling huge rolls of gauze on the stove and it pretty much turned me off but now the diapers are so easy!   They even have ones with flushable inserts!!  Yea - I am way too excited about this.  My sister's pretty sure I've lost my mind, but there is nothing better than having a baby with a rash free (and trendy!) tush. :)

  1. Ok so my hubbs wanted to go with cloth diapers but I said no. Well I'm thinking we are talking of another little one while the first is still possibly in diapers... I'm thinking maybe just maybe for baby #2 we will go with cloth! Keep us update please! :) I don't know anyone that has used cloth from day one so I'm curious.

  3. i definitely considered this as my boy went thru the same thing. they really have cute options nowadays. but i ended up nix-ing the wipes and just used washcloths which helped with his rash. still wets the bed tho. can't tell you how many times i change and wash the damn sheets.

  4. I'm glad your poor little guy's bum is doing better :) I've heard a lot of good things about cloth diapers actually--Jen of Jen Loves Kev says good things. Do you read her blog? I'm just glad I have so many mom-blogger friends I can come to for advice in a couple years :)

  5. Great that they worked for you. I only know of one mommy in our group that used them.
So are you using the ones with disposable insets? If not how are you washing them. I heard there are services.
I have officially marked on the calendar when I am going to start potty trainning my daughter mid June. Then I will be diaper free forever!

  8. I use both disposables and cloth and have done so since my daughter, now 3, was about 3 weeks old. Modern cloth diapers are awesome, and I can talk about them for an embarrassingly long time.

Glad to hear Peanut's tush is better!
